San Luis Obispo, CA -- Coast Unified School District chief Chris Adams is coming under fire, and investigation. Apparently, his family applied for and was accepted into a school lunch program meant for low income students. Trustees of the Coast Unified School District expect to hear next Thursday whether the Adams family did anything inappropriate in applying for free and reduced-price meals for their two daughters. But according to district legal counsel Roman Muñoz — who is doing the investigation — Adams did not. In an e-mail to the Tribune Muñoz wrote that a district employee “convincingly stated that she made a mistake by entering the Adamses’ monthly income as annual, and apologized,” and also admitted to making other mistakes in the eligibility forms.
