San Luis Obispo, CA -- A heads up to folks living near Foothill Boulevard in San Luis Obispo. The city's public works department says it'll be shutting off water service for a few hours today so crews can install a new fire hydrant. The water shutoff affects people living at 1310 Foothill Blvd., and the surrounding area of Crandall Way. That includes some of Cal Poly's student housing. The service outage will last from 9:00am to 1:00pm.
