San Luis Obispo, CA -- San Luis Obispo gets a big honor for being bicycle friendly. The League of American Bicyclists yesterday named the City of San Luis Obispo one of the top bicycle-friendly cities in the United States. There are 190 cities around the nation that have earned the honor. San Luis Obispo's designation is "silver-level," which is a four-year designation. The League of American Bicyclists says the designation puts the city in a better place to receive grant funding for bicycle-related projects. KSBY reports there were nearly 500 applicants for the designation this year.
