Paso Robles Police Make 35 Arrests Under "Safe Streets" Enforcement



Paso Robles, CA -- Paso Robles police officers, along with other agencies, made 35 arrests in the first three days of the department's "Safe Streets" enforcement. "Safe Streets" is a new police operation aimed at combating the growing gang problem in northern San Luis Obispo County. Saturday was the first day of enforcement. Officers say the operation was directed primarily at contacting, identifying and arresting known gang members. 35 arrests were made and 30 traffic citations were issued; charges ranged from drug, probation or parole violations, to driving drunk or recklessly.
