Home Invasion Leads to Carjacking and Kidnapping



Grover Beach, CA -- A home invasion in Grover Beach turned into a carjacking and a kidnapping yesterday morning. Police say the victim's home was unlocked when the suspect, a man in his late 30's or 40's entered the home between 6 o’clock and 6:30. He pulled out a firearm and demanded cash from the victim. The suspect then forced the victim to drive the suspect in the victim's black Hummer. The victim told police he was forced out of his vehicle at gunpoint by the suspect on Highway 166. A Good Samaritan drove him back to Grover Beach, where he alerted police. The victim suffered minor scrapes and cuts and did not know the suspect.

Authorities in Kern County have been notified of the situation in case they see the stolen vehicle, which is described as a black 2006 Hummer H3, California license plate number: 5WSS953. The suspect has been described as a scruffy looking white male adult who was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and jeans.
