Paso Robles, CA -- The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff-Coroner yesterday identified the man murdered in Paso Robles August 11 as 55-year-old Robert Kenichi Uyeno of Paso Robles. He was found stabbed to death at the Farmhouse Motel. Authorities were delayed in releasing his name because they needed to track down his family in Iowa and Hawaii.

The four suspects in Uyeno’s death were arraigned yesterday. John Barrett appeared in court with Alfonso Fierros, Jennifer Velten and Tabatha Brown. The four were arrested on charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder for stabbing 55-year-old Robert Uyeno to death. Paso Robles police officers believe the motive behind the killing was drug-related.
