San Luis Obispo, CA -- The San Luis Obispo City Firefighter accused of beating a man unconscious earlier this summer is scheduled for a preliminary hearing this morning. Police say 34-year-old John Ryan Mason knocked a 32-year-old man unconscious in the bathroom of Pappy McGregor's bar in San Luis Obispo back in June. Mason was put on desk duty during the investigation.
