Los Padres, CA -- Los Padres National Forest officials announced Thursday night that Level 2 Fire Restrictions have been put into effect immediately at campgrounds throughout the forest.

Level 2 Fire Restrictions restrict the use of open fires, campfires, or charcoal fires even with a valid California Campfire permit, smoking outside of an enclosed vehicle or building, and the use of internal combustion engines anywhere besides a road or designated trail. These restrictions will remain in effect until the end of fire season in late autumn.
