Atascadero, CA -- We could find out today if the Atascadero man accused of killing his six-week-old baby is ready for trial. Kelly Dewayne Lavigne is scheduled to be in court this morning for a readiness conference. Officers say back in the spring of 2009, Lavigne violently shook his six-week-old son. The infant died a few weeks later at Twin Cities Hospital. Lavigne's trial on murder charges could begin as early as next Monday.
