Atascadero, CA -- The woman accused of kidnapping a four-year-old boy in Atascadero on Friday could be formally charged today. 51-year-old Annette Hale was booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail on $1 million bail. Hale is accused of kidnapping Jeremy Guthrie from the First Baptist Church homeless shelter around 4:30 Friday morning. Officers say Hale and Jeremy's mother got into an argument the night before at the shelter.

The boy was found around 5 o’clock that evening in an abandoned car dealership in Atascadero. KSBY says Hale may have called police to tip them off, but she was no where to be found. Police finally got a lead when Hale borrowed Shandon Woods' phone outside of K-Mart in Atascadero. Woods then called police and they were able to find Hale.
