Santa Margarita, CA -- A 40-acre fire that started Sunday afternoon was brought under control yesterday afternoon just after 4:15. Officials don’t yet know what caused the blaze on Red Hill Road east of Santa Margarita. The blaze was initially reported at about 12:30, Sunday. It burned both on state land and in the Los Padres National Forest. No structures were threatened. The investigation is on-going.
