Free Health Clinic About to Open in San Luis Obispo

San Luis Obispo, CA -- A “no-questions” asked, free health clinic is about to open its doors in San Luis Obispo, and it couldn’t have happened without the community’s support. There was one thing stopping the SLO Noor Foundation from opening its doors: the heating ventilation- air conditioning unit. At the last minute, building inspectors realized it needed to be changed out before an operating license could be issued. It is a process that cost an unexpected $26,000.

In May, Dr. Ahmed Nooristani asked the community for help raising the money and it delivered. Doors are scheduled to open sometime in August, serving residents with no health insurance, specifically the middle class. Aside from two part time positions, the clinic will be totally run by volunteers.
