San Luis Obispo, CA -- It's going to cost you more to park in San Luis Obispo. Last night, the San Luis Obispo City Council approved charging for parking on Sundays afternoons, from 1 o’clock until 6. Council members also approved charging $10 for residential parking permits in eight neighborhoods. In addition, parking meter rates in the downtown area will also be going up by a quarter, to $1.50 an hour. That won't take affect until credit card readers are installed on the meters this fall.
