San Simeon, CA -- A 27-year-old San Simeon resident was arrested after he allegedly sold meth to an undercover deputy last week. Uriel Avina Moreno is charged with five felonies counts of selling, distributing and transporting a controlled substance. He was arrested in San Simeon on the evening of July 6 at about 6 o’clock. The arrest is the culmination of a two-month-long investigation by sheriff’s narcotics detectives during which an officer met Moreno and purchased meth five times. The detective bought about three quarters of a pound of meth over the two month period. Moreno was booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail in lieu of $200,000 bail and has since posted bond and is no longer in custody. Other arrests are not expected at this time.
