Arroyo Grande, CA -- Tulare County Sheriff’s deputies continue to search for a missing Arroyo Grande man. 28-year-old Derrick Robert Rush went missing Friday after tubing in the Kern River. A second man was rescued on the river Saturday while deputies searched for Rush. A sheriff’s spokeswoman said Rush was near the Whiteside campground on the upper Kern when he fell off an inner tube and friends did not see him resurface. The swift-running river water was about 50 degrees and Rush did not have cold water gear, a helmet or a lifejacket, according to the spokeswoman.
