San Luis Obispo, CA -- There have been conflicting reports regarding the wildfire that has ravaged the Kern/San Luis Obispo County line. The Tribune said at 4 o’clock yesterday that the 5300 acre blaze was fully contained. KSBY however reports that the fire was 98% contained at about midnight, and that crews hoped to have full containment by 6 o’clock this morning. The three day old fire didn’t hurt anyone, but a 19th century Kern County cattle branding camp was destroyed. Fire officials are still investigating the cause.
