San Luis Obispo, CA -- San Luis Obispo police arrested a 21-year-old San Luis Obispo man early yesterday morning after he allegedly stabbed his ex-girlfriend in an attempt to kill her. Police located John Charles Ramos at French Hospital Medical Center. Ramos reportedly went to the hospital to as for help “because he had just stabbed his girlfriend.” Police had received several calls from Ramos’ family and friends earlier in the morning saying he was possibly suicidal and headed to the area of his ex-girlfriend’s residence. While officers were responding, they received a 911 call from the 26-year-old woman saying she had just been stabbed by Ramos. She had several stab wounds to her upper body and taken to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center for treatment. Officers arrested Ramos at French Hospital without incident on suspicion of attempted murder. He was booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail on $500,000 bail.
