San Luis Obispo, CA -- A woman using a crosswalk at Cal Poly was hit by a truck about 11 o’clock yesterday morning. A Chevrolet pickup turned left from University onto Highland, striking her and running over her foot. The 22-year-old woman was taken to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo for treatment. The Tribune says both the victim and the 20-year-old driver are Cal Poly students. More details are likely to emerge as the investigation continues. No word yet if police will be seeking criminal charges against the driver.
