The City of San Luis Obispo will be launching a new planning and building permitting software to replace its aging legacy permitting software. The new software, EnerGov, provides comprehensive planning and building permitting solutions.
The current permitting system is nearly 25 years old and is no longer supported by Microsoft. Rather than trying to upgrade its legacy system, the City conducted a competitive review to find a modern and fully integrated platform, and ultimately chose the EnerGov solution as its replacement.
EnerGov streamlines permitting and business processes, as well as customer service, and will soon provide online access to citizens. EnerGov is a fully integrated, user-friendly platform in which data can be entered once and shared across multiple modules and subsystems. In addition, EnerGov will help further streamline workflow processes, improve communication, and increase productivity for office and mobile workers alike.
Tyler Technologies and City employees have been hard at work configuring and testing this all-encompassing platform, and City-wide employee training is currently underway.
