Man Arrested in Connection With Casino Stabbing

Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a man they believe was involved in the stabbing outside of the Chumash Casino earlier this month.

Osvaldo Hernandez, 35, of Santa Maria was arrested at a home on the 200 block of Inger Drive in Santa Maria.  He was transported to the Santa Barbara Conty Jail and booked on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, robbery, a gang enhancement, kidnapping, and attempted homicide. He was also on parole for resisting arrest and assault with a deadly weapon. His bail was set at $1,000,000.
