Man Arrested After Vandalism Rampage

San Luis Obispo, CA — Last night at approximately 9:00 SLO PD Officers responded to the 700 block of Marsh to the report of a male breaking windows at businesses.  A person identified as 33-year-old Samuel Dabill threw himself against several windows of businesses but didn’t cause damage to them.

Then he approached a female getting into her car in the 700 Block of Marsh.  Dabill forced his way into the vehicle.  She pushed him out of the car, and then Dabill approached the Bluebird Salon on Marsh Street.

He overturned a couple of large pots in front of the salon.  He entered the salon and threw a glass shelf full of product onto the floor.  He continued to throw product, chairs, and display items around the business.  All of the employees fled out of the business and were not injured.  After causing a couple of thousand dollars of damage to the business, Dabill fled from the scene on foot.

Witnesses followed him and alerted officers to his location. He was taken into custody without incident and was booked into county jail for burglary, false imprisonment, and felony vandalism. He is being held on $20,000 bail.
