High Approval Rating for Jerry Brown

Jerry Brown could be a shoo-in for a second term as governor of California.  The latest Field Poll gives him a 58-percent approval rating, up seven-points since July to the highest approval rating this term.  Only 33-percent disapprove of Democrat Brown's job performance.

Brown hasn't said whether he'll run again, but the poll shows he would beat his closest competitor, former Republican Lieutenant Governor Abel Maldonado, in a simulated, open primary by 41-points.
