Gas Station Robber Turns Himself In To Police

Paso Robles, CA — On November 25, at approximately 10:20 a.m., the Paso Robles Police Department responded to the Eagle Energy Gas Station on 2400 Golden Hills Road regarding a robbery that had just occurred.

Officers determined a white male adult, approximately 50 years old, had robbed the on-duty cashier of money from the register.  No weapons were displayed or simulated during the robbery and no one was injured.  The cashier described the suspect has having a grey goatee, wearing a black “rag” which covered his hair, a red shirt, blue jeans, and a pair of dark sunglasses.  After robbing the store the suspect rode away on a Harley Davidson style motorcycle.

Monday the Paso Robles Police Department arrested 51-year-old Charles Donald Wheeler Jr. of Paso Robles.  Wheeler was arrested in Fresno after surrendering himself to the Fresno Police Department.  Paso Robles Police Department detectives drove to Fresno early Monday afternoon and transported Wheeler back to San Luis Obispo County where he was booked into the SLO County Jail on a single count of robbery.
