San Luis Obispo, CA — The Fremont Theater is closing its doors after 70 years of showing flicks to fans. It closed last night.
The historic movie house in downtown San Luis Obispo is owned by Sanborn Theaters, which is considering a new contract with the property owners to keep the place open.
The old agreement with the Newport Beach company and developers King Ventures and Rossi Enterprises ended yesterday.
A temporary verbal agreement may keep the Fremont open for at least another year.
