Yesterday a little after four, the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a plane crash in the Oceano Dunes. When units arrived, they discovered a single engine fixed wing airplane had crashed onto state parks land within the Oceano Dunes.
There was only one occupant, the pilot, inside the plane. He is described as a white male adult. CPR was administered, but the victim died at approximately 4:30 pm. The identity of the pilot is pending notification of next of kin.
