Fatal Early Morning Accident On Hwy 101

Buellton, CA — A Paso Robles man, 34-year-old Jorge Plascencia-Toro, died after his pickup truck rolled over on Highway 101 north of Buellton early Monday morning.  He was driving a 1994 Toyota pickup southbound near Twin Oaks at 4:35 a.m. when the vehicle drifted onto the right shoulder, drove up an embankment, then flipped over and landed on its roof.   

Plascencia-Toro was pronounced dead at the scene. According to the CHP, neither alcohol nor drugs are believed to have played a role in the crash.
