Wednesday evening’s classes at the San Luis campus of Cuesta College were cancelled due to a power outage. Classes were scheduled to resume today, however, campus officials said it may take longer to restore power to the 1000 building, one of the oldest structures on campus.
The power outage, which started at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, was caused by wiring that was 40-years old.
During the outage, campus computers were also not available, nor was access to the student portal, myCuesta. The outage did not affect the college’s North County campus or the South County Center at Arroyo Grande High.
PG&E is assisting Cuesta College maintenance and operations staff in resolving the problem.
