CHP Investigating After Man Steps In Front Of Semi-Truck

And the CHP is still investigating an accident that occurred around 3:00 yesterday afternoon where a man in his forties stepped in front of a big-rig heading southbound on the 101 at the Avila Beach turnoff.

The man apparently drove to the scene in his Ford pickup, stopped, got out of his truck, and walked into the path of the semi.  

He was taken to a local hospital. There is no word yet why the man stepped in front of the semi.
