Wildfire Near Cuyama Burns Over 2,000 Acres

A wildfire that had sparked over the weekend continues to burn near Cuyama in eastern SLO County.  The Soda Fire started at approximately 5:40 PM Saturday evening on The Carrizo Plain off of Soda Lake Rd. Fire Breaks Out In Rural Paso

Water Main Ruptures In Downtown SLO

A water main broke in San Luis Obispo Thursday afternoon – forcing the Downtown farmers market to close.  The water main ruptured on Higuera St at around 4:30pm.  Public works crews began tearing up the site of the break a few hours later.  Water service was shut off to the area.

Power Outage In SLO

More than 2,500 folks in San Luis Obispo were without power Tuesday evening.  The power outage occurred at around 7:30pm – effecting a wide area of SLO including Cal Poly.  PG&E says the cause of the outage was a tractor hitting a power pole near Grand Ave. and Palm St.  PG&E restored power to nearly all customers by 9:30pm.
