Police have identified the bus driver who suffered a heart attack driving an Amtrak bus last Friday while crossing the Santa Maria Bridge about 7:10. He is 42-year-old Grodon Chadwick from Los Osos. Boat Believed to Have Smuggled Marijuana Crashes

Authorities say a boat believed to have been used to smuggle thousands of pounds of marijuana crashed at Garrapata State Beach in Big Sur.  The 36-foot panga boat was found on the beach Saturday morning, and a 35-pound bale of marijuana was found hidden in some bushes nearby.  Customs officials estimated several hundred bales of pot had been off-loaded from ...
