Cuesta College Faculty Pickets Outside Student Center

Sinsheimer Pool Reopens Today


Today, Sinsheimer pool reopens. The 50 meter pool in SLO has been closed for months for repairs and replastering. The pool closed just after labor day, although the therapy remained open. Hundreds of swimmers and water polo players had to train elsewhere. Lap swim hours will be free today. For more information, go to the city’s website at slocity.org.

A former mayoral candidate in Atascadero arrested over the weekend after a four hour standoff with police. If you saw smoke over Templeton Saturday, it may have been from a training exercise on a house on main street. Man Allegedly Responsible for Multiple Burglaries is Arrested


Detectives with the SLO County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a man who is responsible for six burglaries in San Luis Obispo County and at least eight burglaries in Northern California, all of which occurred during a seven week period in 2015. Narcotics Detectives Arrest Four After Investigation Into Meth Sales


Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s narcotics detectives arrested four people following a five month investigation into methamphetamine sales in the City of Lompoc. During the course of the investigation, detectives identified 34-year-old Gilbert Villareal of Lompoc as a methamphetamine trafficker and 43-year-old Rene Ramirez of Los Angeles as his methamphetamine supplier.
