The Santa Barbara Harbor Patrol has shut down Leadbetter Beach because of a Great White shark sighting. The harbor patrol says they received a report of a shark sighting at about 10:30 yesterday morning and shut the beach down shortly after. A Paso Robles city employee has been sentenced to 20 days in jail. Charles Lorenzen, the former building, parks and streets supervisor of Paso Robles, was arrested on May 27 on charges of embezzling thousands of dollars from the city. High School Teacher Arrested For Allegedly Having Sex With Student

A Paso Robles High School teacher was arrested for allegedly having sex with a student. Police say their investigation started on Sunday, when a 16-year old female student disclosed that she had been having a sexual relationship with her teacher. The teacher, Jeremy Monn, was arrested for sexual intercourse with a minor. Monn was an agricultural teacher. Read More »

Fire in Santa Maria Late Last Night

A fire occurred in Santa Maria at around 12:31 this morning. Firefighters arrived at North Blosser and found a seatrain against the back of Rick’s Cabinets store engulfed in flames. The fire caused about $100,000 worth of damage and everything inside was deemed as a loss. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.   Read More »
