Former Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Deputy Sentenced To Prison For Holding Up Rabobank In Cambria


A former Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s deputy has been sentenced to five years and six months in prison for holding up the Rabobank in Cambria last fall. Bruce Valentine pleaded guilty February 4 to two counts of robbery against him. He was also ordered to pay restitution to the bank for the amount he took during the robbery.

Car Crash Rules Out Texting While Driving For Arroyo Grande Teenager


A car crash that injured an Arroyo Grande High School student was not the result of texting while driving. The accident happened about noontime Tuesday at the Fair Oaks-Valley Road intersection. Witnesses say the car was speeding and rolled over several times. Police are still investigating.
