Competency Trial For Man Charged With Murder Postponed

A competency trial for an Atascadero man charged with murder is postponed until July 18th.  According to the District Attorney’s Office it was postponed yesterday, because his attorney needed more time to prepare. 43-year-old John Barrett is one of four people who were charged in the August 2011 murder of 55-year-old Robert Uyeno. Police Pursuit From Oceano To Santa Maria Ends In Crash And Arrest

Yesterday at 6:20, starting at 19 and Paso Robles streets in Oceano, deputies pursued a vehicle that was being driven by Jeanne Sepeda, who was wanted for a felony warrant. Sepeda and her passenger, Steven Vega, fled from deputies through Oceano, Nipomo, and onto Highway 101 south towards Santa Maria.  CHP and Santa Maria Police took over the pursuit there. ... Abandoned Panga Boat Discovered On Arroyo Quemada Beach
