On Friday, July 25, 2014, at approximately 12:45AM, the Paso Robles Police Department received a report of a burglar alarm at the library at Flamson Middle School at 2405 Spring Street. Officers arrived within three minutes and discovered a broken window on one of the building access doors. As the officers investigated, two suspects ran from inside the building and fled on foot across Spring Street. Officers coordinated a search effort to locate these suspects and found one hiding in the area of the railroad tracks at the dead end of 26th Street.
This suspect was taken into custody without incident and was found in possession of property stolen from the school. The suspect was identified as a 15 year old male resident of Paso Robles. He is not being identified because he is a juvenile. He was processed at the PRPD and later booked into the SLO County Juvenile Services Center for one count of burglary. The second suspect was not located. No persons were injured during this event.
