The San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday voted on a couple of issues. In the first, it agreed to provide The Land Conservancy of San Luis Obispo County with $400,000 for the purchase of the Pismo Preserve. Land Conservancy officials say, with the Board’s contribution and some private donations, it now has enough money to go before the State Wildlife Conservation Board on Thursday. The Board is expected to provide the project with $4 million. Land Conservancy officials say escrow on the 900-acre property could take a few weeks, and they expect the Pismo Preserve to be open to the public in late summer of 2015. The Board also voted down a project to make improvements near Pirate’s Cove.
