Haggan Seeking $1 Billion from Albertsons


Regional grocer Haggen is seeking over one-billion dollars in damages from one of its rivals.  The Washington-based chain has filed a lawsuit in Delaware, claiming Albertsons engaged in “coordinated and systematic efforts to eliminate competition” after Haggens purchased 146 former Albertsons stores last year.  The deal was the result of a Federal Trade Commission order after the merger of Albertsons …
