The virus, which has symptoms that include nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, is the primary cause for the stomach flu and lasts one to three days. A driver was arrested for a DUI after crashing his car into a power pole at 9 Sunday evening in San Miguel. The crash caused numerous homes to lose power for a few hours. Last Day of Plastic Grocery Bags in Santa Barbara

Today is the last day to buy plastic bags at large grocery stores in Santa Barbara. Beginning Wednesday, a plastic bag ordinance goes into effect at 18 larger Santa Barbara stores and pharmacies. Stabbing Incident Leaves Two Injured

A stabbing domestic incident in Santa Maria police occurred last night a little after five. Thirty-year-old Oscar Nicasio stabbed a woman then stabbed himself on W Taft. Transient In Custody After Allegedly Starting Fire In Backyard Of Residence

A Cuyama transient is in custody after allegedly starting a fire in the backyard of a residence and assaulting one of the homeowners.  Sixty-two-year-old Stephen Howland was arrested last Tuesday and charged with numerous felonies, including arson and assault with deadly weapon.
