Power has been restored to Avila Valley residents who went in the dark after a downed electrical line in Avila Beach caused a very small vegetation fire Sunday evening. Average retail gasoline prices in California have fallen 9.6 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.83/g yesterday.  This compares with the national average that has fallen 3.2 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.46/g, according to gasoline price website CaliforniaGasPrices.com.
