Investigation Continues After Arrest Of Man Who Attacked Wife With Samurai Sword


The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office is still investigating why a man attacked his wife with a samurai sword. 36-year-old Charles Haig Guenther was arrested on Tuesday for a domestic violence incident in Los Osos. A young San Luis Obispo resident died Tuesday in Utah.  19-year-old Christine Allen fell off a rock cliff in Kane Creek, about five hours southeast of Salt Lake City. VAFB Fire Contained


Firefighters contained the brush fire that broke-out at Vandenberg Air Force Base within two hours after it ignited yesterday afternoon. VAFB fire officials say it burned between seven and 10 acres about a half-mile north of San Antonio Road West. A section of Highway 1 was shut down in the area while crews contained the fire. Dystiny Myers Killers Sentenced To Life In Prison


Two people convicted in the 2010 murder of 15-year-old Dystiny Myers were sentenced yesterday to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Rhonda Wisto and her son, Frank York, were found guilty of first degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, kidnapping and torture. Suspect Arrested In Association With November Attempted Murder


A 19-year-old from Fresno is in San Luis Obispo County Jail for attempted murder and police are still searching for another man involved. Ordinance Passed Prohibiting Sky Lanterns In SLO County
