High School Students Raise Money for Ill Student


Ernest Righetti High School students recently organized a fundraiser for a special-needs student with cancer to help pay for his ongoing brain surgeries. The students and staff held a tri-tip barbecue and placed collection cans in each classroom to help 19-year-old Joshua Amador. A total of $3,652.80 was raised, far exceeding the goal of $500. Three fires occurred in the Central Coast yesterday. A fire consumed an empty two-story Lompoc home at around 9 a.m. Firefighters had it under control less than an hour later. Three allegedly violent teenage carjacking suspects were arrested on northbound Highway 101 in Santa Margarita. The teens allegedly stole a silver Nissan sedan from a woman in Visalia. Homes Evacuated for Potential Bomb Threat

The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff Coroner’s Office identified the man found dead inside a tent on March 13 in San Simeon. The man was identified as 58-year-old Brian Joseph Edward Boyer.
