Vandenberg Air Force Base Furloughs

Because of the government shutdown, more than 800 civilian workers at Vandenberg Air Force base have been furloughed. All non-essential operations are closed, including the commissary, the education center and the library. Launches have yet to be affected.   Read More »

Man Arrested For Recording Women In Assisted Living Residence Restroom

Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a Buellton man on Tuesday for allegedly recording women using the restroom at an assisted living residence in the Santa Ynez Valley.  Sheriff’s Deputies were contacted immediately by an administrator at the residence after a female employee located a cellular telephone concealed in the ventilation system in a restroom.   Sheriff’s Deputies responded to ... Central Coast Projects Receive Grant Funding

Lois Capps (CA-24)  recently announced three Central Coast projects received grant funding through the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Energy for America Program (REAP), which is authorized by the 2008 Farm Bill.
