Large Marijuana Grow Discovered In Nipomo


The SLO County Sheriff’s Office says investigators, while serving a search warrant, discovered over 4 thousand marijuana plants growing on a Nipomo property on South Oakglen Ave yesterday morning.  In addition to the marijuana, methamphetamine and cocaine packaged for sale were discovered along with a loaded rifle.  Two men were arrested.  Three other men fled the scene and have not …

At least one person died in a crash on Highway 101 north of Paso Robles this morning. SLO Hotel Robbed At Gunpoint


A man robbed a San Luis Obispo hotel at gunpoint Sunday night then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.  Around 10:30 p.m. on Sunday,  a man wearing a gray bandana on his face entered the Lexington Inn on Garfield Street.  The suspect then brandished a handgun and demanded money from the night clerk.  The robber fled the scene.  Officers …

Frazier Fire Update


The Frazier fire burning on the outskirts of Paso Robles grew to 75 acres yesterday afternoon. CALFIRE officials say as of 11p.m. Monday, the blaze is 50 percent contained.  The fire has burned along Nacimiento Lake Drive.  Cooler conditions overnight helped firefighters after dealing with triple digit temperatures when the fire first broke out.  Fire crews will remain on scene …
