Los Osos, CA — An apparent suicide pact ended the life of one person and sent the other to jail. On Monday, at approximately 11:26 p.m., Montana de Oro State Park Rangers made contact with the driver of a vehicle occupied by two people located near the dead end of Pecho Road in Montana De Oro State Park.
Subsequent investigation revealed that the passenger of the vehicle, 81-year-old Gewynn Mariann Taylor of Los Osos, was deceased. Assistance was requested from the Sheriff's Office, and Sheriff's patrol, detectives, Coroner's and Crime Scene Investigators responded.
The driver, 86 year-old George Leigh Taylor of Los Osos, was transported to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries. Further investigation led to his arrest for homicide.
This investigation is on-going. There are no suspects outstanding. The victim's autopsy will take place on Thursday. The Taylor’s were husband and wife.
