Alleged Santa Barbara Child Molester Arrested in Hawaii

 


Thirty five year old, Ronald “Chad” Williams was recently arrested in Honolulu, Hawaii for molesting a minor while he was the director of the San Marcos Christian Camp.  The camp is located in the unincorporated area of Santa Barbara County off Highway 154.  The alleged crime occurred in the summer of 2005. The now adult victim recently disclosed the allegations to the Sheriffs’ Office.  The victim was 10-11 years old when he was allegedly molested by Williams. 

Detectives from Los Angeles County Sheriff Special Victims Bureau assisted Santa Barbara Sheriff Detectives in the investigation.  A warrant was issued for Williams and he was arrested in Honolulu, Hawaii where he has been living for several years.  Williams was the director of the camp for approximately one year, May 2005 until June 2006.  At the time of the crime, Williams and the victim were the only people present at the camp when the crime occurred.  Sheriff’s Detectives are concerned there may be more victims.  If you have information which may assist Detectives in this case and/or help identify any additional victims, you are encouraged to call the Sheriff’s Detective Bureau at 805-681-4150 or the Tip-Line at 805-681-4171.
