Work Begins on a New Phase of the Highway 101/41 Interchange

Road crews will begin the next phase of the Highway 101/41 interchange project. Starting today, crews will be removing dirt from the site and will continue to do so for a two week period. This work will be going on day and night, but will not require any lane closures. After they remove all the dirt, they will begin a pile driving operation. That’s the next step in expanding the highway from four to six lanes. One lane in each direction on Highway 41 will remain closed for the next two years. The $17 million project is expected to be completed by the end of 2010.
