The sister of a disabled woman is now behind bars for attempted murder. Early Sunday morning, a fire broke out 250 North Pacific in Santa Maria. When firefighters arrived, they found a disabled woman who was able to escape from the fire safely in front of the home. Fire Investigators looked into the cause of the fire and found that it had been intentionally set. Detectives determined that the disabled woman was living in her sister’s apartment. 50 year old Lolita Nelson was not there when the fire broke out, but witnesses saw her leave the apartment just before the blaze started. She was booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail at $500,000 bail for attempted murder. |
