Woman Rescued After She Falls from Pier

Pismo Police rescued a woman who fell off the pier into the ocean on Friday. The adult female who fell off the end of the pier about 1:45 in the morning was reportedly intoxicated. When police arrived, a man had jumped in to keep the woman afloat until help arrived. Rescuers used a Frisbouy, an emergency lifesaving tool thrown to drowning swimmers, to bring the pair in to the shore. CalFire arrived on the scene and pulled the pair to safety. The woman was then taken to the hospital for evaluation. |
