Posted: Monday, 16 June 2008 7:17AM Wanted Man Arrested After Chase A young Atascadero man sent Police on quite a foot chase. Early Friday morning, officers were dispatched to the 4000 block of Tranquilla Avenue after reports of a man who would not leave the area. When officers arrived, they tried to talk to the man, but he ran on foot, jumping fences and running through yards trying to escape from the police. 25 minutes later, officers with help from Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Ruiz in the K-Mart parking lot on El Camino Real. 19 year old Ernie Ruiz Junior had two outstanding warrants and was also charged with resisting arrest and petty theft. He is currently being held at the San Luis Obispo County Jail.
