Posted: Thursday, 04 September 2008 12:32PM WOW Begins This Weekend This weekend, thousands of incoming freshmen and transfer students will be coming to town. About 3,500 WOWies will be participating in Cal Poly’s Week of Welcome which begins this Saturday. The week long orientation includes awareness presentations, a book discussion, a day of community service and a tour of downtown San Luis Obispo. This year will be the orientation program’s 51st year welcoming students to the SLO community.
